ON GOING CLASSES AND EVENTS

Keeping Brushes Wet

Keeping Our Brushes Wet will resume meeting on Monday, September 23rd and will continue each Monday, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Lake City Area Arts Center, 105 West Center Street.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of age or experience. The purpose of Keeping Our Brushes Wet is to share ideas, explore new techniques, work on individual projects and connect with other artists. We frequently have free art demos to help participants learn new skills. Everyone provides their own watercolor supplies and we take a free will collection each week to help support the art center.

The September 23rd opening session is shaping up as a great evening of fun! The plan is to create colorful pieces of collaborative art. You'll provide the usual supplies and we'll provide the unique supplies. We're not sure what will develop, but rest assured it will be colorful and fun! This is a low stress activity that should allow plenty of time for everyone to visit with one another.

Please contact us on our Class Registration page if you would like to register or if you have any questions.

Hope to see you soon, let's get creative together!

Music Circle.jpg

LCAA will be hosting a Music Circle on Tuesday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon. There are no dues but the circle pays $10 per week to rent the room and is financially self-supported by voluntary contributions.

It is a non-judgmental practice environment for musical participants of all skill levels. Progress, not perfection, is the goal. Players of all levels are welcome. Questions can be directed to Sam Poppleton, 651-345-6910 or email skp55041@gmail.com.

Lake City Singers

If you enjoy singing or know someone who does, join in the fun. Singers don't need to live in Lake City to participate. Members of the group will participate in designing the group's plans to include choral as well as individual talents. No auditions needed.

Rehearsals will be each Thursday from 1 to 2 pm at the Lake City Area Arts Center. Coleen Fowler has started choruses in other communities, directed choruses, taught piano and organ and brings this experience and much enthusiasm to directing this chorus.

If you are unable to attend but are interested, contact Coleen Fowler at coleensuefowler@gmail.com.
